Allspice, also known as allspice or sweet pepper.
Originally from Jamaica, but nowadays it comes from Honduras or Guatemala.
USE: Used in the preparation of botifarrones, in recipes such as jerk chicken or in typical Mallorcan dishes such as rice in sauce.
With a taste between bitter and sweet, it is one of the key ingredients of the Four Spice or Brut Rice Spice blend.
Examples: Stewed chicken with pears, peppered cod, brussels sprouts in marinara sauce, etc.
